Factory technologies and capabilities
By investing in the necessary tools, equipment, and processes, we’re committed to delivering top-quality mass timber products on a consistent basis.
An industry-first glulam press, capable of automatically bonding beams as wide as 1.64 feet (500mm) using standard lumber sizes, represents a critical advancement for the construction of mass timber buildings, which demand substantial cross-section beams and columns. This innovation also supports the production of CLT panels ranging from 3 layers to 9 layers in depth, measuring up to 12’ wide and 60’ long, with the added capability to press multiple panels simultaneously, enhancing output.
Our Conway facility boasts a state-of-the-art mass timber CNC machines. Our glulam CNC machine is adapted to handle the largest beams our Conway facility can produce. In addition, we utilize two systems in CLT production to ensure precision geometry for MEPF penetrations, windows, doors, and connections, facilitating accelerated on-site installation.
A bespoke glulam line machine that extends our expertise beyond the conventional two-face sanding applications for wood-based beams. This innovative technology enables us to sand all four faces of a beam.
Our system manages all equipment adjustments within the factory, meticulously tracking each board, beam, and panel throughout the production process. As parts arrive at each machine, the equipment is designed to dynamically adjust to the part’s size and automatically processes it to help ensure precision and efficiency.
