Oakcrest Park Estates Ltd., a Victoria-based holding company and investor in industrial properties, developed a turnkey warehouse for EMCO, one of Canada’s largest plumbing supply companies.
The 10,000-square-feet warehouse includes administration offices and a showroom. The building’s structure was one of Canada’s first mass timber warehouses to use CLT mass timber technologies.
The 5-ply panels, manufactured by Mercer Mass Timber, were all prefabricated off-site to a one millimeter tolerance and were combined with glulam post and beam, as well as conventional wood framing techniques to provide an efficient and handsome solution.
