With a tenure of more than 30 years in the engineered wood products industry, Michael has dedicated 21 of those years to the commercial sector, with the last 18 specifically focused on mass timber. As the leader of the estimating team at Mercer Mass Timber, Michael’s deep commitment is evidenced by his drive to craft solutions that meet diverse design and constructability challenges.
His expertise in engineered wood product sales, estimation and construction has shaped his pragmatic approach to design. This knowledge, along with his exceptional eye for detail, truly sets him apart. Moreover, Michael’s significant contributions to the development of cross-laminated timber in North America have further distinguished him in the industry.
His portfolio includes prominent projects such as Google Borregas, Google JAVA, the Kimbell Art Museum, Wood Design Innovation Centre, UBC Brock Commons and the Shane Homes YMCA.
