Jon brings more than a decade of mass timber experience to his role as Senior Preconstruction Manager at Mercer Mass Timber. His career began at Washington State University, where he first developed a passion for engineered wood systems.Upon graduation, Jon spent six years at DCI Engineers, working on projects across North America.
He went on to join Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation as a specialist before shifting to the construction side of the industry, spending three years on the preconstruction team at Carpentry Plus, Inc. Since joining MMT, Jon has applied his cross-disciplinary background in engineering, fabrication, and construction to drive a pragmatic, design-forward approach to preconstruction.
Collaborating closely with clients and design teams, Jon helps translate architectural vision into structural clarity—balancing cost, constructability, and sustainability. His goal is simple: to help teams make confident, informed decisions that bring the best version of their project to life.
