Stephen brings nearly a decade of diverse engineering and project leadership experience to his role as Pre Construction Manager at Mercer Mass Timber. His career began at MGM Consulting and Edison Engineers, where he honed his technical foundation in structural design and AutoCAD drafting for complex residential and commercial developments.
He went on to join Element5, spending nearly six years climbing the ranks from Senior Estimator to Senior Project Manager. During his tenure, Stephen managed a vast portfolio of over 80 projects, ranging from niche installations to $14M developments. Since joining MMT, he has leveraged his unique blend of structural expertise and data-driven project management—utilizing tools like Python and VBA—to streamline workflows and ensure rigorous quality assurance across the preconstruction phase.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, Stephen helps translate complex design requirements into actionable, scalable work plans. By balancing technical precision with clear communication, he empowers clients to navigate changes in cost and scope with ease. His goal is to provide the structural visibility and strategic reporting necessary to deliver high-quality, sustainable mass timber projects on time and on budget.
